Account Manager

Our client, a leading horticultural company, is seeking a passionate and customer-focused Account Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in nurturing lasting client relationships within the horticultural sector. Reporting to the Managing Director, this position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from and contribute to the growth of our client’s business. The role holder will be based in Naivasha, Kenya.

Key Aims & Objectives:

  • Maintain and continue to develop strong, long-lasting relationships with clients in the horticultural industry.
  • Site visits to clients and serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Understand client needs and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and business growth.
  • Manage client accounts, including handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet client expectations and address their specific needs.
  • Work closely with the Managing Director to create and implement strategies for expanding the client base.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s offerings and effectively communicate their value to clients.
  • Collaborate with operations and product development teams to enhance overall customer experience and meet client requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Provide feedback on market trends and customer preferences to support enhancements to the company’s offerings.


Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced Diploma in Business, Agriculture, or a related field, or relevant working experience in place of educational qualifications.
  • Proven experience in account management and relationship building within the horticultural or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of horticultural products, services, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets would be an advantage.
